Last year Trey Anastasio brought rising San Francisco stars Tea Leaf Green out on the road for a handful of dates with his solo band. The performers seemed to enjoy each others company, collaborating a number of times throughout their fall outing.
On Friday Tea Leaf Green opened for the former Phish guitarist once again at Virginias Charlottesville Pavilion and, during Anastasios set, Tea Leaf Green guitarist Josh Clark emerged for a version of 46 Days. On Sunday, Anastasio also offered his first acoustic interlude (in lieu of a traditional set break) this tour at Asheville, NCs Thomas Wolfe Auditorium, running through stripped down versions of Sample In A Jar, Driver and Pebbles & Marbles.
The Trey Anastasio Band will perform at Chicagos Vic Theatre Wednesday, while Tea Leaf Green will appear at South Burlington, VTs Higher Ground tonight.
