A new Olympic sport is the focus of the live music scenes latest winter offering. The Ski Tour will mix live music with competitive game on the half-pipe and on the slopes thanks to skiercross (which is projected to be part of the 2010 Olympics). Scheduled to take place at four resorts throughout the country—-Sun Valley, ID (1/11-15), Breckenridge, (2/1-4), Aspen/Snowmass, CO (2/2-25), Squaw Valley, CA (3/8-11)—-, the entertainment portion of the event will present a variety of films and granola performances as part of the traveling festivals Basecamp Music Experience. Artists scheduled to appear at various points throughout the Ski Tour include The Wailers, Swollen Members, DJ Logic, Elan, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Don Carlos, Kamphire Collective, Blackalicious, George Clinton, and Donavon Frankenreiter, among others.
