Once again the first group to announce a spring Beacon Theater run is“RatDog”:http://www.rat-dog.com/index.html. Bob Weir and his bandmates will perform three nights at the New York City venue from Thursday March 8 through Saturday March 10. Last year shortly after RatDog announced its March shows the Allman Brothers Band followed suit. One question that some have raised regarding the March ABB performances is whether Derek Trucks will appear on guitar, as the dates will conflict with the Western U.S. Eric Clapton tour. While some sources have indicated that Trucks may take some time off the Clapton tour for the Beacon run, the official announcement has yet to be made.
