Umphreys McGees Kris Myers will return to his alma matter, Illinois Elmhurst College, for a performance on March 8. The drummer will perform various compositions with Wilcos Glenn Kotche , Rich Stitzel, and the Elmhurst Percussion Ensemble. Myers and Kotche have known each other for years through the Chicago music scene and the Wilco stalwart performed with Umphreys McGee several times last year. The performance will take place at Elmhurst College Hammerschmidt Memorial Chapel. Umphreys McGee has also confirmed a number of additional spring dates which will take the sextet through northeast, southeast, and Midwest for the Chicago edition of Relix/Jambands.com/Pete Shapiro produced Green Apple Music and Arts Festival.
