The Omega Moos, the all-star group featuring members of the New Deal and Umphrey’s McGee, will resurface for two nights in June. On June 23, the quartet will perform alongside Oteil & the Peacemakers, Liquid Soul, Backyard Tire Fire, Groovatron, and Cornmeal at Peoria, IL’s Riverfront Festival Park. A night later, the group will appear at Chicago’s BAM!, the Belmont Arts & Music Festival with Catfish Haven and Bumpus, among others. As previously reported, The Omega Moos finds the New Deal’s Darren Shearer and Jamie Shields improvising alongside Umphrey’s McGee’s Brendan Bayliss and Ryan Stasik. Shields and Shearer’s other new project, The Join, has also added a Camp Bisco appearance to its summer schedule, fleshing out a lineup which also includes the Disco Biscuits, Umphrey’s McGee, Girl Talk, STS9, Zilla, Hallucinogen in Dub, Infected Mushroom, and Amon Tobin, among others.
