After appearing at Quincy, CAs High Sierra Music Festival, Galactic will hit the road for a cross-country tour consisting mostly of headlining club shows. The New Orleans-bred group will hit a number of different markets, including Portland, OR (7/6), Spokane, WA (7/7), Boise, ID (7/8), Whitefish, MT (7/10), Salt Lake City, UT (7/12) and Alta, WY (7/13). The groups Alta date is part of the Grand Targhee Folk & Americana Festival, which also features Bill Frisell, the Neville Brothers Tony Furtado Band and Sonny Landreth, among others. From there, Galactic will appear at the Trancegression Festival and the 10,000 Lakes Festival, before playing club shows in Milwaukee, WI (7/2) and Louisville, KY (7/21). Looking ahead, the group will also play a free show on August 11 at New Yorks Central Park Summerstage. Galactic’s new studio disc, From The Corner To The Block, will hit stores August 21.
