On Friday, RatDogs original core, Bob Weir, bassist Rob Wasserman and drummer Jay Lane reunited for a performance at San Franciscos Ferry Building. The intimate gig benefited the Creative Arts Charter School and featured a mix of Grateful Dead songs, covers and original material from RatDogs catalogue, including Blackbird, Me and My Uncle, K.C. Moan, Victim or the Crime, Desolation Row, China Cat Sunflower and Even So. A few days earlier, Weir also performed a handful of songs with his friend Austin deLone at the Mill Valley Community Center ad part of the Memorial Day Family Fun Festival. Weir appeared on three selections he has performed with a number of different ensembles over the years: Maggie’s Farm, Little Red Rooster and Wang Dang Doodle. Weir will round up RatDog for a performance at the sixth annual Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival on June 17.
