On Friday, former New Groove of the Month One Under played a rare hometown show at Columbus, OHs Skully’s. During the gig, fellow Columbus resident Jerry DiPizzo joined the group on stage for its own ‘Scratch’ and a cover of Elvin Bishops Juke Joint Jump. DiPizzo is perhaps best known for his day job as the saxophonist in jam-pop arena-rockers O.A.R. One Under will be on the road throughout June and early July, leading up to an appearance at Nelson Ledges Quarry Parks Gratefulfest on July 7. Other acts confirmed to play Gratefulfest include Umphreys McGee, Keller Williams, The Greyboy Allstars, Kimock’s Zero, JGB Band, David Gans, The Peter Rowan & Tony Rice Quartet, Donna & The Tricksters, New Riders Of The Purple Sage, Pnuma Trio and four nights of the Dark Star Orchestra.
