As expected, longtime festival friends Tea Leaf Green, Railroad Earth and New Monsoon performed in a number of different configurations throughout Ozark, ARs Mulberry Mountain Harvest Music Festival this weekend. Railroad Earth scored the events collaboration award, offering its own set and lending its members to a number of different festival performers. Perhaps most notably, violinist Tim Carbone sat in with Tea Leaf Green on Piss It Away, while saxophonist Andy Goessling jammed with the group on a show closing Taught to Be Proud. Tea Leaf Green also invited out guitarist Jeff Miller for Zoom Zoom, while his group New Monsoon welcomed a handful of friends out for a handful of songs, including Carbone (Watervein and Traveling Gypsies), Elephant Revival washboard player Bonnie Paine (Romp and Bron-y-aur-Stomp), Wayword Sons dobro wiz Anders Beck (Alaska) and Hot Buttered Rums Zachary Matthews and Erik Yates (Bron-y-aur-Stomp). New Monsoon will appear at Albuquerque, NMs Puccinis Golden West Saloon tomorrow, while Hot Buttered Rum will support Railroad Earth at Tulsa, OKs Cain’s Ballroom this evening.
