While enjoying a rare break from the road, the members of Umphreys McGee have made a handful of appearances at their local Chicago hotspot Martyrs’. On Saturday Brendan Bayliss played a set of music at the venue to celebrate Christopher T. Mignanellis new documentary film The Trip There, which features a handful of new Bayliss originals. A week earlier, Joel Cummins took the stage at the same venue with RAQ, playing keyboards on Lake Nite. Then last Friday the keyboardist stepped up once again for a jam with Perpetual Groove on TTFPJ. Umphreys McGee will hit the road this week for an appearance at Lawrence, KSs Liberty Hall Thursday.
