Both members of the Benevento/Russo Duo will play CMJ parties this week with their newest projects. This evening Joe Russo will play a showcase at New Yorks Living Room on a bill which also includes Air Traffic, Chase Pagan, Tacks the Boy Disaster and New Frontiers. The party starts at 6 PM and American Babies will close the evenings festivities. The Americana-rock group recently helped open New Yorks CMJ festivities on Monday by playing with The National and The Little Ones at the Highline Ballroom. On Friday Marco Benevento will also offer a solo piano set at New Yorks Rockwood Music Hall as part of the Beyond Race Magazine Party. Benevento will play a short set beginning at 3:30 PM, before performing at Joes Pub later in the evening. As for the Duo, the organ/drums combo will hit the road October 15 with a gig in Boulder, CO.
