Longtime Allman Brothers Band guitarist Dickey Betts will return to the city of the ABB’s fabled Beacon Theater run on New Year’s Eve. Dickey Betts & Great Southern, who have otherwise wrapped up their 2007 tour itinerary, will appear at B.B. King’s in Times Square on December 31. The band is offering two shows, an early one (for folks who wish to enjoy some early-evening ‘Ramblin’ Man’) and a later one (for those who wish to ‘Rave On’ into 2008). At present Betts & Great Southern have no other schedule dates beyond the NYE performance until February 29 (leap day) at the Narrows Center For The Arts in Fall River, Massachusetts.
