Gov’t Mule has confirmed additional details regarding its forthcoming DVD release. ATO Records will issue Tail Of Two Cities on December 4, and it will collect two Mule shows in their entirety. The first of these is the band’s October 15, 2004 gig at the Orpheum Theatre in Boston, the opening night of the group’s Deja Voodoo Tour. This will be accompanied by the December 9, 2006 performance at the Riviera Theater in Chicago, which closed out the band’s High & Mighty Tour. The Chicago date also is notable because the band literally blew out the power on the city block and a portion of the second set become a drum jam (captured on the DVD in hazy black and white due to lighting limitations). Tail Of Two Cities also will offer both traditional stereo and 5.1 mixes as well as an option that will allow fans to belt out the lyrics as they scroll across the screen. Gov’t Mule returns to a fully-amped Riviera this evening.
