Umphreys McGee drummer Kris Myers has put together some interesting side-projects to occupy himself while his band enjoys a few days off the road. On November 21, Myers will offer an evening of live hip-hop and house at Chicagos Lucille’s with a group that consists of Dylan Jones (Rhymefest, Elevation) on guitar, Tim Lincoln (Juice, Liquid Soul) on bass, producer Greg Spero on keyboards and DJ Savage (Treologic). A few nights later, he will also play with Drop Q at the popular Windy City venue Kinetic Playground. If thats not enough, this evening the drummer will offer some free jazz at Chicagos Websters Wine Bar along with his Kris Myers Trio. Umphreys McGee will appear at Charlotte, NCs Amos Southend this Thursday.
