Last year The Breakfast’s original keyboard player, Jordan Giangreco, left the group. Now bassist Ron Spears will do the same. Spears and his wife are expecting a child in the spring of 2008 and he will begin a teaching career. He explains, After much soul searching over the past year I have come to the decision that I can no longer commit to the goals of The Breakfast. I have spent the last 9 years fully committed to the success and touring of The Breakfast; however, I feel that my aspirations have changed, as they sometimes do in life, and it is now time for me to follow a different path. This has been one of the most difficult decisions I have ever made. Being a part of this band has been one of the most amazing experiences of my life, full of memories and familiarity that I cannot soon forget. I wish my friends and band mates nothing but success in their musical journeys.
Spears will close out the year with the group, which is currently auditioning bass players. Next up for The Breakfast is a performance this Saturday in Asbury Park at The Saint.
