Former New Groove of the Month Licorice has announced some of its plans for the weeks and months to come. On New Year’s Eve (okay, technically the early morning hours of New Year’s Day), the New York-based quartet will appear at the Blue Note. Licorice will take the stage at 1:30 a.m. and head towards dawn. Beyond that, the band has announced that it finally has completed its debut EP, A Million Grains of Sand. The group currently is streaming the title track at its website, with additional release information to follow.
