Following last night’s performance in New York City, the North Mississippi Allstars will wrap up their reunion gigs with the Word over the weekend (Friday in Philadelphia and Saturday in Washington, D.C.). The band will then join Derek Trucks, Susan Tedeschi and the Soul Stew Revival on New Year’s Eve at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta. Then Chris Chew and the Dickinson Brothers will have a brief respite before charging into an extended run of dates with Alvin Youngblood Hart. Their Keep The Devil Down Tour begins on January 17 in Hattiesburg, MS at The Bottling Company and continues through February 24 in Nashville at the 3rd & Lindsay Bar & Grill. The latest studio recording from the Allstars, Hernando, hits on January 22.
