Guitarist Kaki King has lined up a series of dates timed with the release of her fourth studio album, Dreaming Of Revenge. After making an appearance at SXSW, King will open a 12-day tour at Seattle’s Tractor Tavern on March 21. As of press time, the run is scheduled to wrap up with an April 12 appearance at Washington, D.Cs Nightclub 9:30. King has also started to venture into the film world, recording two tracks for August Rush, in which she appeared as a guitar-playing hand double. King was also drafted by Sean Penn to compose original music for several scenes in his acclaimed Into the Wild, which scored her a Golden Globe nomination. In an odd turn of events, the young guitarist recently caught the year of Dave Grohl, who recruited her for a duet on ‘Ballad of The Beaconsfield Miners’ off the Foo Fighters Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace.
