New Yorks U-Melt and Connecticuts The Breakfast shared the stage at Troy, NYs Revolution Hall on Saturday night. Halfway through their opening set, The Breakfast invited out U-Melt guitarist Rob Salzer and keyboardist Zac Lasher for a cover of The Allman Brothers’ ‘Aint Wastin’ Time No More’, which featured new Breakfast keyboardist Matt Ostreicher on lead vocals. U-Melt returned the favor twice during their headlining performance, inviting out Breakfast guitarist Tim Palmieri for a rendition of Frank Zappa’s ‘Cosmik Debris’ and both Palmieri and Ostreicher for an extended take on the Beatles ‘Tomorrow Never Knows. U-Melt is off the road until they begin a three-week residency at Boston’s The Paradise Lounge on March 13, while The Breakfast will return to Ithaca, NYs Castaways this Wednesday.
