Yonder Mountain String Band will release Mountain Tracks: Volume 5 via their own label Frog Pad Records on April 15. The double-disc CD captures the groups July 21, 2007 performance at Columbus, OHs Lifestyle Communities Pavilion, which featured a cameo from Xavier Rudd on Talking Heads Girlfriend Is Better. The set also features a compilation of choice tunes from 2004-2007, sequenced to recreate the flow of an actual live show. Yonder will return to return to the studio in May and September of this year with producer Tom Rothrock (Beck, Badly Drawn Boy, R.L. Burnside) to begin work on their next studio album. As of press time, the album will hit stores in the spring of 2009. The group will hit the road next month for an April 1 appearance at Fayetteville, ARs George’s Majestic Lounge.
