Stanton Moore will follow-up his late 2006 release III, with a new disc next month. Emphasis (on parenthesis) features the Galactic drummer’s return to the studio with Robert Walter and Will Bernard. The album title is derived from Moore’s proclivity for incorporating parenthetical phrases into many of the songs he writes. All eleven tracks on the disc contain parentheses in their titles, including the ‘(late night at the) Maple Leaf,’ ‘(smell my) Special Ingredients’ and ‘(I have) Super Strength.’ Moore is currently in Europe with Galactic but likely will pick up some dates with Walter and Bernard later this spring to support the disc, which hits on April 22.
