Jon Fishman will rejoin the Yonder Mountain String Band a performance at San Franciscos Warfield this Friday as part of the Green Apple Festival. The former Phish drummer first played with Yonder in Denver last September and has performed with the newgrass outfit a number of times since, most recently in Asheville, NC on February 21. A number of other intriguing shows are also taking place in San Francisco in the days leading up to Green Apple’s free Golden Gate Park festivities, including Elf Power at Bottom of the Hill (4/18), Toubab Krewe at 12 Galaxies (4/18), The Waifs at the Independent (4/19), Built for the Sea at Bottom of the Hill (4/19), Hot Buttered Rum at the Fillmore (4/19) and Norfolk & Western (featuring members of Bright Eyes, M.Ward and Decemberists) at Cafe du (4/2), among others.
