The 2006 Warren Haynes X-Mas Jam will receive a DVD release in June. Warren Haynes Presents: The Benefit Concert Vol 8 runs nearly three hours, with 24 songs, including a few drawn from the 2006 Pre-Jam at the Orange Peel. Haynes opens the action with a solo take on ‘Million Miles From Yesterday’ and the DVD concludes with Gov’t Mule’s signature tune ‘Mule’ with guest appearances by Dave Schools and Randall Bramblett. Other featured artists include The New Orleans Social Club, Branford Marsalis, The Taj Mahal Trio, The John Popper Project Featuring DJ Logic and Dave Matthews. Warren Haynes Presents: The Benefit Concert Vol 8 will be available on June 24, with those who pre-order the DVD also receiving a live CD with music from the Pre-Jam. This weekend, Gov’t Mule will anchor Mountain Jam IV at Hunter Mountain, NY.
