Guitarist Elvin Bishop, who co-founded the Paul Butterfield Blues Band nearly 45 years ago, remains an active player. On September 23 Delta Groove/ Eclecto Groove Music will release his latest studio recording, The Blues Rolls On. Joining Bishop on this disc are numerous guests, including B. B. King, Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks, George Thorogood, James Cotton, Kim Wilson and Tommy Castro. Bishop remained with the Butterfield Blues Band through the 1968 release In My Own Dream and then began a solo career, which included the 1976 top 5 hit, ‘Fooled Around and Fell In Love.’
