Col. Bruce Hampton (ret.) uses the term Zambi to describe the particular form of improv he finds most compelling. Next weekend in Florida, he will share a series of dates, with an early Aquarium Rescue member and fellow promulgator of the Z, Rev. Jeff Mosier. Mosiers Blueground Undergrass will share the bill (and one can imagine, some jams) with Hamptons Quark Alliance. The two will gig together on Friday July 18 (Freebird Live, Jacksonville, FL), Saturday July 19 (Culture Room, Ft. Lauderdale, FL) and Sunday July 20 (Skipper’s Smokehouse, Tampa, FL). Tonight the Quark Alliance is at the Downtown Kitchen in Canton, GA, while Blueground is off until next weekends Florida run.
