As we reported last week, Blues Traveler celebrated July 4th at Morrison, COs Red Rocks Amphitheatre where it debuted some new material. These songs will appear on North Hollywood Shootout, the group’s forthcoming release on the Verve Forecast label. David Bianco (Mick Jagger, Primal Scream, Big Head Todd & The Monsters) produced the recording, which is slated to hit on August 26. North Hollywood Shootout features the current quintet along with guest Bruce Willis, who delivers a freeform monologue on Free Willis, Ruminations from Behind Uncle Bobs Machine Shop. Blues Traveler, which is currently on the road with Live and Collective Soul, will step away from that tour for a show on Friday in Minneapolis, MN at the Aquatennial Block Party.
