Last night, Brad Barr played an intimate solo acoustic show at New Yorks Mercury Lounge. After the show, the Slip guitarist confirmed that his next release will be a solo instrumental album due out early this fall. The guitarist will also celebrate his birthday this Saturday in his adopted hometown of Montreal. Barr will host his own Birthday Variety Show at Montreals Le Divan Orange, featuring Ladies of the Canyon, Super Little and other Surprises. Soon after, Barr will reunite with his Slip bandmates and singer/songwriter Nathan Moore for Surprise Me Mr. Davis gigs in Boston (8/7), Portland, ME (8/8) and Brooklyn, NY (8/10).
