Last week we reported that the Black Crowes had cancelled their Las Vegas and Santa Cruz shows due to ‘an unexpected illness within the band.’ Now the group has taken the additional step of canceling the remainder of its September West Coast dates, which had been scheduled to take place through this coming weekend. The Crowes have announced that ‘Despite our best efforts, it is not possible to reschedule the canceled shows at this time. However, we are working diligently to reschedule these markets in early 2009. Fans are encouraged to obtain refunds from their original place of purchase. The band goes on to affirm that ‘all remaining dates on the 2008 tour will take place as scheduled.’ Next up for the group is a show at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park in Alpharetta, GA on October 5.
