Yesterday we reported on Change Rocks: A Concert to Benefit Obama, which will take place at State College, PAs Bryce Jordan Center on Monday, October 13. That event will feature the Allman Brothers Band as well as Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann. Nearly two weeks earlier, on October 1, another collection of artists will perform in support of the Presidential candidate. Jazz for Obama: A Concert for America’s Future will feature music from Roy Haynes, Brad Mehldau, Joe Lovano, Roy Hargrove, Christine McBride, Stanley Jordan, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Dianne Reeves, Kurt Elling, Hank Jones, Charlie Hunter/Doug Wamble Duo, Stefon Harris and additional ‘very special guests.’ Tickets for the event are currently available online.
