As previously reported, the latest archival release of the Phish camp captures the groups three-night run at Atlantas Roxy Theatre from February 19-21, 1993. Though the group has released many shows in the past decade, the eight-CD box set is actually the first complete multiple-show release since Hampton Comes Alive and the 1998 Island Tour box set. In addition to choice versions of many Phish classics like You Enjoy Myself, Fluffhead and Mikes Song, the set also features appearances by local heroes Jimmy Herring and Rev. Jeff Mosier, a humorous version of Kiss Rock And Roll All Nite and no less than three Hold Your Head Up Jon Fishman routines.
Like many performances from this era, Phishs 1993 Atlanta run boasts both a Big Ball Jam and a Vibration Of Life segment. Other left field selections include Have Mercy, All Things Reconsidered, Esther and Jon Fishmans rendition of Memories.
In celebration of the albums release, Relix has posted a version of Funky Bitch from the box set for download on Relix.com. The track also featuring Jimmy Herring, who is profiled in the December/January issue of Relix.
