The Big Wu will share the bill with God Johnson, Hyentyte and Absolute Gruv on New Year’s Eve in Minneapolis. The show will take place at Trocaderos, with two stages and a balloon drop at midnight. In addition, an instrument donation drive will take place to benefit Anthony Middle School in Minneapolis, which is in need of instruments for their band and orchestra programs. Those who donate a musical instrument of a $90 value or more, or make a $90 cash donation, will receive a ticket to the event and access to the 3rd floor of Trocaderos, which will offer free hors d’oeuvres, beer, champagne, table service, access to the heated outdoor observation deck and acoustic performances from Dean Magraw with special guests and The Feelin with Chris Castino. Instrument donations can be made at any Schmitt Music metro location leading up to December 31st. Those wishing to make a donation and attend the concert should email Mark Gehring ([email protected]).
