Perpetual Groove will spend the early days of 2009 off the road as the band begins work on its latest studio release, the first with new keyboardist John Hruby. However, the group has confirmed a range of dates for the first few months of the year. These shows include a one-off gig at the Variety Playhouse in Atlanta on January 19, a brief California run a few days later and then some scattered February performances in the South. The band’s first steady tour will not take place until March 17, opening in Huntington, WV and routing up to New England, with a final stop at New York City’s Bowery Ballroom on March 28. Next up for PGroove is a two-night New Year’s Eve run at the Georgia Theatre in Athens on December 30 and 31.
