The eighth installment of FloydFest will take place from July 23-26, 2009 in Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains. Two longtime members of the String Cheese Incident will bring their current groups to the fest as Michael Kang will perform with Chris Berry & Panjea while Billy Nershi will be on hand with the Emmitt-Nershi Band. Other acts set to participate include: Donna The Buffalo, Toubab Krewe, The Lee Boys, Pete Francis featuring Barefoot Truth, Yard Dogs Road Show, The Dynamites featuring Charles Walker, The Duhks, Ollabelle and many others. More than one hundred artisans and crafters are expected to be on site as well as local food vendors and ‘a progressive Global Village area of workshops.’ Early-bird tickets, which offer up to a 40% discount, are on sale through December 31.
