The Freaks Ball IX took place at Brooklyn, NYs Southpaw on January 10, hosted by the NYC-Freaks list serve. Unlike past events, this installment of the Freaks Ball did not turn a profit. In response, the Freaks are hosting a raffle with extra money raised above and beyond expenses donated to the North Ramparts Community Center in New Orleans. Items include a pair of 4/6/09 Phish Jones Beach tickets, 5 pairs of tickets to any Rocks Off Cruise in 2009, 2 pairs of tickets to Freaks Ball X, an ‘ultra-rare chance to be photographed with Jakes [Szufnarowski] new back tattoo,’ a pair of signed Joe Russo drum sticks, a signed Scott Metzger guitar pick, a Rodney Speed Afro Pick and many other items. Raffle tickets cost $10 dollars each and entries can be sent via PayPal to: [email protected] or via mail, with checks made out to Rocks Off and sent to: NYC Freaks Raffle c/o Rocks Off/ 630 9th Ave/ New York, NY 10036. All entries must be received by 11:59PM on March 27th, 2009.
