This past Sunday a number of New York-area musicians celebrated the 30th birthday of Emcee Artist Managements Gabrielle Kerson on Rocks Offs traveling Half Moon boat cruise. The afternoon featured a performance by Joe Russo and Scott Metzgers outlaw country band Danjaboots (with Russo showing off his guitar skills as one point), as well as a jam-session that featured a number of unique musical configurations. Several different musicians associated with a range of musical genres took the stage throughout the set, including Metzger, Russo, Ween bassist Dave Dreiwitz, singers Serena Jean and Corn Mo, bassist Bill Stites (a talent buyer for Rocks Off) and the members of the all-metal Bee Gees cover band Tragedy. In addition, several musicians of the band 2 Skinnee J’s took the stage, including Lance Rockworthy, Eddie Eyeball and Andy Action, the latter of whom also plays in Apes & Androids/2 Skinnee J’s. The cover-heavy setlist included material by The Cars, KISS and Fleetwood Mac, among other sing-a-longs.
