Jimmy Buffet will make his first trip Bonnaroo this weekend. The Parrothead leader will appear with Ilo and the Coral Reefer Allstars this Saturday at noon on the festivals Which Stage. Buffet first discoved Ilo on a trip to Cape Verde off the coast of West Africa with Island records visionary Chris Blackwell and has served as his mentor ever since both onstage and in the studio. As some readers may recall, Buffet also performed with Bonnaroo co-headliners Phish on Brown Eyed Girl at Floridas West Palm Beach Auditorium on November 16, 1995 and recorded a version of the groups Gumbo for a Mockingbird Foundation charity disc.
