Later this month, George Porter Jr., Russell Batiste Jr., and Brian Stoltz will return to the stage for a series of shows that will carry the band away from its New Orleans home base. On July 31 Porter Batiste Stoltz will appear in Berwyn, IL at Fitzgerald’s, followed by an August 1 performance at the DuneGrass Music Festival in Empire, MI. Then in mid-August the trio will head up to the Northeast for a series of gigs: August 11 at the Songs at Mirror Lake Music Series in Lake Placid NY, the 13th on a Rockin the River Cruise in New York City, the 14th at Cambridge MA’s Regatta Bar and then on Martha’s Vineyard for a August 15 show at Nectar’s (in Edgartown, MA). Meanwhile, PBS continues to offer up free music via the www.PartyGras2009.com site.
