Please Call Home: The Big House Years is a documentary film that explores the history of the Macon, Georgia home that housed the Allman Brothers Band and its extended family in the early 1970s. Allman Brothers Band tour manager Kirk West, who occupied the house from 1993 through 2007, directed the film which will screen in Chicago at Park West on Monday August 31 at 8PM. West and some of the other folks who worked on Please Call Home will be on hand for a Q and A following the screening. Proceeds will benefit the Big House Foundation, a 501©3 not-for-profit organization which is developing an Allman Brothers Band Museum at the Big House. The ABB is off that evening before a two night stand at Chicago’s Charter One Pavilion. Meanwhile, the Allman Brothers Band and Widespread Panic will open their co-headlining tour this evening at the Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden, NJ.
