Former New Groove of the Month Ryan Montbleau Band has won a spot on Jam Cruise through the Vote the Boat competition. The contest’s runner up was the Josh Phillips Folk Festival. While Jam Cruise can’t invite the whole band to come on board, Josh Phillips himself will perform on Jam Cruise 8. In addition, the traveling festival has added pool-side sets with Perpetual Groove guitarist Brock Butler to its musical offerings. Jam Cruise will sail from January 3-8, featuring performances by STS9, The Word, Zappa Plays Zappa, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Galactic, Maceo Parker, Dark Star Orchestra and many others. Less than 25 cabins are available.
