Radiohead’s Thom Yorke has assembled an all-star band for two rare solos shows at Los Angeles’ Orpheum Theater on October 4 and 5. In addition to Yorke, the band will feature sessions drummer Joey Waronker (Beck, Elliot Smith, The Smashing Pumpkins), Forro in the Dark percussionist Mauro Refosco, Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea and Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich. The band will focus on material from Yorke’s 2006 album The Eraser. Yorke is also expected to introduce some new originals and play material from his new 12-inch. “We don’t really have a name and the set will not be very long cuz ..well …we haven’t got that much material yet!,” Yorke blogged. Radiohead has no upcoming tourdates.
