Los Lobos will take the stage on the South Lawn of the White House as part of the event In Performance at the White House: Fiesta Latin. The concert will be hosted by the President and Mrs. Obama and broadcast by PBS. The sixty-minute program, which will be taped live by WETA Washington, D.C. on October 13, will celebrate Hispanic musical heritage and airs on the final day of National Hispanic Heritage Month, October 15, 2009. In addition to Los Lobos, Marc Anthony, Jimmy Smits, Pete Escovedo, Gloria Estefan, José Feliciano, George Lopez, Thalía, Tito El Bambino and the Bachata music group Aventura will all perform. Sheila E. will lead the event’s house band.
