Furthur, the new band featuring Phil Lesh and Bob Weir, has announced a two show New Year’s Eve run. The group, which also features RatDog’s Jeff Chimenti (keyboards) and Jay Lane (drums) along with Dark Star Orchestra’s John Kadlecik (guitar) and the Duo’s Joe Russo (drums), will appear in San Francisco on December 30 and 31. These shows will take place at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, with December 31 serving as a three set affair. Prior to then, Furthur will perform at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom on December 8 and 9, Wallingford, CT’s Chevrolet Theater @ Oakdale on December 11 and Asbury Park, NJ’s Asbury Park Convention Hall on December 12 and 13. Mail Order tickets for the Furthur NYE shows will begin on Saturday with online sales following next week.
