Both Bill Nershi and Drew Emmitt are scheduled to perform double duty at the first annual Winterfest on the Mountain. The event will take place just outside Boulder, Colorado at the Nederland Community Center from January 22-24. Nershi and Emmitt will deliver an acoustic set on Saturday afternoon and then Billy Nershi’s Blue Planet will appear that night while The Drew Emmitt Band is set for Sunday evening. Other artists slated to participate include Yonder Mountain String Band’s Adam Aijala & Ben Kaufmann, The Motet, Great American Taxi, Split Lip Rayfield, Greensky Bluegrass, Tony Trischka and a two set reunion gig from Phix. The event will take place at a newly renovated, LEED certified and solar powered building while 20% of all alcohol sales, 5% of sponsorship money, as well as 5% of ticket profits will be directed to The Colorado Environmental Coalition, Great Education Colorado and The Backdoor Theater Company.
