The music industry will shift its collective focus to Austin, TX next week for the annual SXSW conference. Though the music portion of the event isn’t scheduled to start until March 17, a number of musicians will come together for a free pre-party at Austin’s Red Eye Fly a night early. The indoor/outdoor venue will feature Honky with special guest Danny Barnes, Broken Teeth, High Watt Crucifixers, Amplified Heat, Duke, The Devil Rides, Dev Electric and Drive Like Maria, among others, on March 16. Music will start at 9 PM and go into the early morning. Barnes will perform tonight as part of Jeff Austin & Friends at Fort Collins, CO’s Aggie Theater.
