Two bands with different takes on roots music, Railroad Earth and Toubab Krewe, shared the stage Friday night at New Haven, CT’s Toad’s Place. During Railroad Earth’s set, Toubab Krewe’s Justin Perkins returned to the stage to play the kora on “Goat.” Toubab Krewe will perform at Chicago’s Double Door on April 3, while Railroad Earth will headline Teaneck, NJ’s Mexicali Live on April 9 and 10. According to the band, “So, Railroad Earth is hard at work rehearsing and doing pre-production for the new album, their first for their new label, One Haven Music! The guys will be heading into the studio next week to start tracking and will be doing so for the next month.”
