Brendan Bayliss and Jeff Austin have spent the past few weeks touring with their new band 30db. In addition to Bayliss and Austin, the group features Cody Dickinson (of North Mississippi Allstars), Eric Thorin and Nick Forster. On Saturday night, the group performed at Portland, OR’s Berbati’s Pan. The show’s setlist featured a mix of material, ranging from originals like “One Man Show” and “Backbone” to covers of the Beatles’ “Don’t Let Me Down” and Wilco’s “Handshake Drugs.” 30db’s encore also featured some surprises: Austin and Bayliss opened the segment with duo versions of “Return Item” and “Backfire” and later brought out local guitar hero Tony Furtado for “Jesus Grant Me Mercy” and Bob Dylan’s “It’s All Over Now Baby Blue.” 30db will perform a pre-event at Chillicothe, IL’s Summer Camp this Thursday, Mary 27.
