San Francisco’s Big Light made its Brooklyn, NY debut at Brooklyn Bowl this past Friday. The night was part of an almost month-long tour that included performances at Summer Camp in Illinois and a homecoming show for New Jersey-bred guitarist Jeremy Korpas at the Saint in Asbury Park, NJ. Big Light’s Brooklyn Bowl performance also featured New Orleans’ Rotary Downs. During Big Light’s set, Rotary Down members James Marler (lead vocal/guitar), Chris Colombo (lead guitar), Jason Rhein (bass/vocal), Zack Smith (drums) and Michael Girardot (trumpet/keys/guitar) all sat in on “Bonebreaker.” The number appears on Big Light’s new release Animals in Bloom. Big Light will appear at Arcata, CA’s Hombolt Brews tomorrow.
