Gov’t Mule by Dino Perrucci, Mule.net

Gov’t Mule closed a West Coast run this past Friday at Los Angeles’ The Music Box at The Fonda. At the end of the night, Peter Thorn and Jeff Young, two of guitarist Warren Haynes’ longtime friends, sat in with the band on Robert Johnson’s “Come On Into My Kitchen” and The Rolling Stones’ “Ventilator Blues.” Thorn, who is best known as Chris Cornell’s guitarist, has sat in with the members of Gov’t Mule numerous times, including a New Year’s Eve show at Hammerstein Ballroom. Young was the keyboardist in the Warren Haynes Band and introduced both Mule bassist Jorgen Carlsson and keyboardist Danny Louis to Haynes.
