New York’s East Village club Nublu has confirmed its New Year’s Eve party. The event will stretch from 9 PM on December 31 until 8 AM the morning of January 1. Clark Gayton—the trombonist for Bruce Springsteen’s Seeger Sessions, Levon Helm, Skatalites and many others—will headline the show with his band. The night will also feature a Brazilian Girls DJ set and a performance by the club’s house DJ, MKL. Last night, Gayton sat in with the Shitty Shitty Jam Band at the club’s “Funky Christmas Party.” Despite what its name suggests, Shitty Shitty Jam Band featuring bassist Jesse Murphy (Brazilian Girls/John Scofield), drummer Aaron Johnston (Brazilan Girls) and guitarist Avi Bortnick (John Scofield).
