Del McCoury was one of the artists who joined the Preservation Hall Jazz Band on the 2010 release Preservation: An Album To Benefit Preservation Hall & The Preservation Hall Music Outreach Program. The musicians then followed up with a collaborative effort that saw McCoury bring in the members of his group to perform with the PHJB. The results can be heard on American Legacies, which is set for a April 12 release via McCoury Music and Preservation Hall Recordings. The groups perform a dozen songs on this disc and will support the album with a number of tour dates, starting with a confirmed show at Boston’s Symphony Hall on March 19.
